Biography
So who are Xerosun? Described as an industrial hard rock/alternative band, Xerosun have created a unique, explosive and energetic sound. With an eclectic mix of influences, their portfolio of original material has led them to a variety of venues and wowing an array of audiences all across Ireland.
It all began back in January 2003, when the creative, like-minded talents of Dan (Guitars), Fi (Guitars) and Richie (Drums) came together and formed Xersosun.
June 2004 saw the recording of the band's first EP, "Ghost" in Grouse Lodge Recording Studios. The tracks "Ghost", "In My Mind" and "Alone", where chosen by voters on the band's web site.
Pushing their boundaries ever further, the summer of 2005 saw Xerosun finance and produce their first music video for the fan favorite “Ghost”, and in the August, recording the follow up to the "Ghost" EP which featured 2 of the band’s own songs, as well as their version of the Depeche Mode classic "Never Let Me Down Again".
No stranger to the media, the guys have been interviewed and performed on television and radio on numerous occasions, the biggest of which came in January 2006, when Xerosun performed live to half a million people on Irish National television.
In April 2006, the band solidified and enhanced their sound with the addition of Bassist/Vocalist Ives into the fray and the transfer of Fi from Bass to Guitar duties. The past ten months have been spent writing and gigging in Dublin and their third EP, "Broken", was completed in January 2007. Xerosun are currently in their Dublin studio HQ writing new material for a forth coming release.

Reviews
Dave Moore from 98FM on the Broken EP
Tue, 29 May 2007
Xerosun are currently shining like a beacon in Irish rock. While everyone else is falling for the trap of trying to be the next "The Somethings" and top the charts, Xerosun are sticking to what they know how to do. And they know how to do it very well. Their songs are mature, well-structured, melodic and, as is so important in this genre, masterfully performed.
You can hear the influences of established bands and styles but none of this impinges on the creation of and dedication to Xerosun's own identity. I hear a lot of metal and so often, especially at the unsigned level, the vocals can let down an otherwise strong package. Not here. The vocals do what they should do. They lead. The songs are driven by the strong combination of melody and lyrics, the key to creating “songs”, not just pieces of music. I’ve put these guys on heavy rotate on my mp3 player and they’re not coming off any time soon. In fact, my only criticism is that I’ve only got three songs. Send me more. I’m Xerosun-hungry. You will be too.
